Wildlife tourism research has burgeoned from the inception of the Wildlife Tourism subprogram in the Cooperative Research Centre for Sustainable Tourism (Round 1). This has spawned the creation of a society of wildlife tourism professionals including students, academics and operators - Wildlife Tourism Australia Inc. - and a plethora of publications, reports and books in this emerging discipline. Some of the outputs from 'the kangaroos in tourism' initiative are listed here along with some recommended readings.
