This page provides feedback from travellers hopping along The Kangaroo Trail. If they have identified a good place to see kangaroos and their kind then we have added a Google map. If the feedback identifies services that can be provided to other travellers then please contact the provider directly.

From Libby and David Bright:

We are a 50 acre B&B site on the coast within the Mimosa Rocks National Park (midpoint on your map out from Bega), with some 25  resident Swamp Wallabies (some Red-Necked); some 35 Eastern Greys resident - eating/sleeping - around us; and a good colony of some 20 Long Nosed Potoroos in the buddawang and bracken base to the spotted gum forest about us.

Access is easy off the Pacific Hwy through Bermagui-Merimbula road.

Local accommodation available.

Other wildlife includes a mass of birds, and site is on the coastal migratory highway; and gliders (sugar, giant and yellow-bellied), wombats, bandicoots(eastern brown and long-nosed), and goannas.

This years flush (good season) of babies in the eastern greys has yielded us one pair of twins, which we have not seen before.   They are now mostly out of the pouch but still very young - a great relief we are sure for the mother!

Thank you for the effort and production of your very fine site, which we are sure will be well used by the growing inbound tourist markets.

cheers - Libby and David Bright
